America takes a stab at accomplishing world hunger by disposing of thousands of pounds of food each year

The United States of America, every year, takes a giant step towards conquering the img_3405problem of world hunger, by disposing of around 31 million tons of food each year. Each day roughly 40% of the food produced goes to waste, this is what makes America so great! “By grocery stores throwing away excess items that do not fit on the shelves and food products that do not look appetizing, will in no doubt cure any hunger around the world”, says 100 American citizens interviewed. “Trust me, no matter the amount of food that we dispose of each day will still leave a child hungry,” says an American citizen living “the dream”. America will begin to take its next step towards curing world hunger by focusing on hunger-wracked countries such as Burundi, Eritrea, Comoros. Today, the overproduction of food in factories and overconsumption of American citizens has barely fixed the hunger going on in different parts of the world. Another step taken towards accomplishing world hunger can be seen in the idea of Trump using $15 million dollars to go towards building a wall. With this large amount of money, it not only is going to cure world hunger, but it can take care of different issues going on in the world, such as education. We were able to interview children in the developing nations who are suffering from world hunger, and they wanted to send their thanks to America by saying “Please, help.”

You really were able to emphasize the problem of world hunger in a sarcastic way. And you were able to write the truth of how much food we waste and that was evident when you gave statistical evidence. And most of all, its funny!

I really like this piece, you made a very serious issue into Horatian satire. I also like that you incorporated quotes from real people.
